Economics is a branch of social science deals with the study and analysis of how people use and react to resources, wealth, money, goods and services. Economics also analyzes and describes production, distribution, consumption of goods and services. 'Economics' comes from two Greek words, 'eco' meaning home and 'nomos' meaning accounts. There are many subdivisions for economics, out of which the two main areas of studies are macro economics and micro economics. Bachelor of Arts or B.A. Economics is a three year graduate course with six semesters of study. This course is designed to teach the theoretical and practical aspects of Indian and international economics. The course also helps students to develop analytical, judgmental, presentation and communication skills.
